ZIMBABWE is set to host this year’s edition of the Sanganai / Hlanganani – World Tourism Expo virtually amid expectations to recruit more international buyers.
The World Tourism Expo is an annual Tourism Trade Fair organized by the Zimbabwe Tourism Authority. It showcases the widest variety of Africa’s best tourism products, and attracts international visitors and media from across the world. The past editions of Sanganai/ Hlanganani were a resounding success and attracted the leading African destinations and major world tourism markets such as South Africa, Botswana, Malaysia, China, Zambia, Malawi, Kenya, Mozambique, Namibia, Indonesia, India, Italy and many others.
Speaking to Newsday , The Zimbabwe Tourism Authority spokesperson Godfrey “Chief” Koti said “The virtual exhibition will run from 27–29 October 2021,” the statement read.
The exhibitor and buyer registrations are now open, and the matchmaking diary opened on October 15. To date over 100 exhibitors and over 60 buyers have already registered on the virtual system,” he added.
“This year’s edition of the expo will be hosted virtually over 3 days allowing industry professionals and international travel buyers to interact on this platform without the need to worry about physical barriers,” Koti said.
He said the conference would include live HD video conferencing, virtual auditorium for interactive and topical webinar sessions and 3D virtual exhibitor booths.
